National Chalk Day: August 11th.
In a world chock-full of secondary holidays, we figured we join in on the fun with a chalk-filled holiday.
By declaring August 11th National Chalk Day, Crayola can put sidewalk chalk to top of mind, but more imporatantly, give back to communities.
First, we'll partner with Google to create a signature Google Doodle, as a way to kickstart the new, color-filled holiday.

National Chalk Day Rotating OOH.
For every Snap and chalk drawing shared with #coloryourworld on National Chalk Day, we'll add them to rotating OOH signs, showcasing the same creativity found in our intitial print ads.
Everything on National Chalk Day leads up to the main event: Chalk The Block.
As a way to give back and promote the arts, Crayola will sponsor a "chalk-a-thon" of sorts.
Imagine a 5k, but instead of running, Local K-12 students from 50 cities across America will create sprawling murals on sectioned off areas of their city.
Each participating city will receive $10,000 from Crayola to be used for arts and humanities.
